What does your bathroom cleaner smell like? Our bathroom cleaner is fragranced with organic eucalyptus essential oil.

Why do you use essential oils to fragrance your products? We are firmly against synthetic fragrances which contain harmful chemicals. Instead, we fragrance our products with spa-smelling organic essential oils which have been used in cleaning for centuries due to their natural antimicrobial and antibacterial properties.

Is your bathroom cleaner free from toxic chemicals? We only use plant-based, non-toxic ingredients to keep your family and the planet safe. All our ingredients rate highly on the Environmental Working Group (EWG) and European Chemical Agency (ECHA) for human and environmental safety.

What are Spruce cleaning products made from? Here’s our bathroom cleaner ingredient list: Alkyl Polyglycosides (Plant-derived from sugars). Citric Acid (Food-grade preservative). Potassium Sorbate (Food-grade preservative). Sodium Benzoate (Food-grade preservative). Sodium Bicarbonate (Food-grade used as mild disinfectant). Sodium Coco Sulfate (Plant-derived surfactant from coconut). Organic Essential Oils (May contain allergens such as Citral, Citronellol, Geraniol, Linalol, Limonène).

What ingredients are NOT in Spruce products? Our products are free from bleach, ammonia, chlorine, artificial colours, synthetic fragrances, palm oil, parabens, pesticides, petroleum, phosphates, SLS and triclosan.

How do I prepare your bathroom cleaner?  Spruce is super easy to mix and use. No scientific experiments needed. Simply empty the bathroom cleaner refill contents into your refillable Eternity bottle, fill with tap water slowly and get cleaning within minutes. No need to shake. Use only one refill pack per bottle. We recommend using room temperature tap water for best results.

How do I properly dispose of the refill packaging? Our refills are packed in 100% plastic-free, home and industrial compostable paper. Dispose off it with your food waste (which we hope is not sent to the landfill). Cut it up in small bits and compost at home. The pack will turn into rich fertiliser for your plants. Alternatively, dispose of it in your regular waste bin. Do not recycle with paper or plastic. All outer packaging is plastic-free, recyclable, and printed with biodegradable inks.

Are Spruce eternity bottles eco-friendly and recyclable? We have carefully designed our bottles to last over 100’s of cleanings so you never have to dispose of your bottle. Our bottles will not break, leach or discolour. Our bottles are made of aluminium which is infinitely and most commonly recycled material worldwide. In fact, more than 75% of the aluminium in use today is recycled. Enjoy your refillable bottles guilt-free.
